Here's the thing ... like others have said, players don't play to lose. You don't become a professional hockey player to pick and choose when you want to win or lose based on trying to get a hockey player or draft pick. We traded away some veterans, and some young players are getting a chance to prove themselves with greater opportunities ... Surprise, they are playing good and winning. This a great sign, even though some of you have hurt feelings they are not intentionally losing the games.

No one gave the Islanders a chance at the 1st overall pick when they were not in the bottom five and yet they won the lottery ... because it is a lottery. Why don't we enjoy the last few games of the season, win or lose, and at the end of the season we can all wait with fingers crossed that we get a great pick, which I am confident we will anywhere from 1-5. To think we are going to be higher than the bottom five is kind of silly with our schedule and the fact that the other teams (Vancouver not included) are also trying tow in games with their young players getting chances as well.

Go Flames.
