That being said, if this was the precedent for Olympic pucks, established through previous tournaments, everything probably unfolded the way it always has, and Hughes was unaware that was the case. I'm sure most players would ignorant to that process, and given that he's walked what he said back, I'm sure someone explained why it unfolded the way it did.
To me, it's reasonable that he would want it though.

Yeah, but the puck for a first or 100th or whatever goal means nothing to anyone else. Pucks that have interest sport-wide go to the HOF.
