A 10w 4ohm resistor (matches the speaker exactly) with a built-in heatsink is $10 for a pair of 'em off of Bezos-Mart, but you don't need to be that precise with it.

You guys seem to think that the demographic that buys a RAV4 or a Prius are the types that give a #### about the weird annoying sound and would do something about it. They probably don’t even notice it themselves.
