If the Ducks are forced to trade McTavish, that would be a massive fail for them. Excellent pedigree and looked primed to break out into a top line power forward in 2023/24 and 2024/25. Really shocking to see him take such a massive step back.

With Gauthier and Sennecke both working out, the Ducks might have an embarrassment of riches or too many cooks in the kitchen?

You'd think they'd find a way to make McTavish work, especially going into the playoffs. Maybe they are just trying to light a fire under him before the playoffs? If he's on the move, the Flames should be in on that. Zary and Vegas' 1st?

That gives the Flames:

This year's pick, Reschny, Gridin, Coronato, and McTavish to build around as top 6 forwards. That's a fantastic start, especially if this year's pick is McKenna. It also makes a Verhoeff pickup at #3 look a lot more appealing.
