They used to host ancient instances of PeopleSoft/Oracle software for healthcare and government across Canada. It's a stupid model, squeezing life out of really old and unsupported software for orgs that were cheap/lazy to upgrade it themselves - old client server stuff. This will be really interesting.
I don't know how many clients they still had on that stuff, but it used to include payroll (i.e. bank account numbers, SIN, addresses, benefits/family) for thousands of people. Everything you would need for comprehensive identity theft.
The MyHealth stuff I think is a different division, and they acquired the software. It was very profitable so I think it probably got maintenance. Maybe they rolled it all up.
This is what happens when big stupid orgs, run by stupid people, outsource things they don't understand and kick the can down the alley (hopefully delaying accountability until after they have left the org/retired).
