I think Castagna has the highest ceiling, as it’s easy to forget that he’s only 20 years old. Gross and King are more mature, and may be a little closer to making the big club right now, but Castagna’s skating makes him the wildcard.

I see King as a potential Derek Ryan-type, one who may be undersized, but wins faceoffs and can play a checking role. If Gross makes it, he may just make a good 3C one day, but may have to play on the wing for at least a few seasons. Like Castagna, his size, skating, and faceoff acumen give him a good chance.

I don’t know enough about the Wranglers to be able to predict their C depth for next season, but Basha will be on the team, and he’s been playing C for the Tigers- my bet is that he goes back to the wing. I’m also not sure if Castagna will be leaving College. Max Curran is going to UMass, and I can’t see any of Reschny, Hoskin, Misa, Potter, Littler, or Lipinski graduating to the pros just yet. I guess the Wranglers C depth will consist of some combo of Gross, King, Bishop (if he re-signs), Morton, Kerins, and Kirkland.

Just my opinion, and thanks for asking! What do you think?
