Don’t get me wrong, I love draft picks and have faith the Flames will draft well, but at the end of the day, late firsts and 2nd rounders have low likelihood of being impact players. I assumed, based on the Nelson trade last year, or the proposed Pareyko trade, that we should have been able to pry a blue chipper loose somewhere!

I voted 9 nine on this trade, but I'm definitely feeling this too.
I get that it's hard to find a trade for higher 1st rounders, even a mid-rounder, as well as blue-chip prospects so I'm not exactly disappointed either, but.
