Something clearly off with Battaglia, doesn't seem like a guy at this point who is going to force his way onto the upper half of the Wranglers roster over the next couple of seasons. Might have jumped the gun a little signing him as quickly as they did.
Smart move to trade him for an older prospect who needs a change of scenery and they can find out if he has anything to contribute now, before the log jam starts.

Battaglia was beginning to look like a wasted contract spot, so it was good to replace that contract with a new face.
