I’m happy my CP family is happy w the return, and clearly my expectations were out of line for Naz (and Weegar FWIW), but to not get a single blue chip prospect this week is a fail for me.
Don’t get me wrong, I love draft picks and have faith the Flames will draft well, but at the end of the day, late firsts and 2nd rounders have low likelihood of being impact players. I assumed, based on the Nelson trade last year, or the proposed Pareyko trade, that we should have been able to pry a blue chipper loose somewhere!
Quantity will lead to a team of 3rd liners…I want first liners.
Any word on what the Habs package was?
