We paid almost a half-mil for an 1100 sq ft unit just in April, and we're expecting to actually lose money on it when we sell next year. It's almost downtown, is in an upscale condominium complex, and has a wealth of amenities, but even then we overpaid by so much that we're pretty sure it's peaked.
Good god, if I didn't have family help paying for this thing, I wouldn't consider living here. How anyone in their young 20's starting out in Calgary without financial help is beyond me, this city is ruled by the rich and the idiots who keep paying high prices for everything - which is basically all 1 million of us!
