It's gonna be the same thing all over again when he plays his first NHL season. I'm not worried. He's too good and sees too much of the ice to not figure it out. The guy's a monster.

I don’t think there is a single person that called him a bust.
I do think there are some fans that have looked at McKenna on the same level as a Celebrini/Bedard type prospect where he skill and numbers suggest he has that generational potential. The start to the year knocked him off that pedestal but no one ever said he would be a bust. His stock as the slam dunk 1st overall pick has also been questioned but if he keeps up what he is doing now there will be no question who goes 1st in June.
I still believe the generational hype and really hope we can draft this player.
