So you want everyone to pay the same and everyone to get the same. It sounds like equality. It is not. Unless you are going to hand out barrels of oil to every Canadian on an equal basis. Same with potential for hydro power. I need a river on my land. And tidewater access. Do I have gold under my house? No? Not fair, I want the govenrment got give me the same amount as Dave has on his land. Fred got Cancer and can't afford to survive, should Joe get Cancer to keep it equal?
No one starts equal, no one goes through life with the same advantageous and challenges. Neither does every community. Your simplistic view of how society works tells me things have gone pretty great for you, and you just want some more. We don't need to make everyone equal, but to ignore that and just want to take what you see as yours is a pretty selfish attribute, and maybe you want to sit back and examine that for a bit.
