I'm looking to run my first marathon this year, signed up for the Victoria marathon in early October.
Victoria is great! Of the three locations I have run, it is my favorite so far (Calgary, and Long Beach the others). My two fastest runs have been there, the start and end in front of the parliament is great, and there are people everywhere, really helps push you forward. Training in Calgary and going to sea level is also a bonus although being from Vancouver that won't help you much.

So far I have Calgary booked and am looking at doing Kelowna in September. With the weather having been so mild to start the year until this week, it has been great for getting out and training. The hardest part for me is having two young boys, so finding time is hard, and I hate running on treadmills.
