The problem is that immigration has become such a polarizing issue that it seems like there can't be any reasonable discussions on it. It's ridiculous to blame everything on immigration when we've had terrible decisions and fiscal mismanagement in this province for what seems like forever.

But at the same time, immigration has been a huge issue for the healthcare and education system. For a decade we've been at the high end, bringing in 1.5% of our population each year, even through Covid. This isn't sustainable long run, and certainly not without targets to bring in high income individuals because at that level we're going to be needing to constantly build schools and hospitals.

Alberta with it's we're calling campaign is even worse at over 1.9% per year over the past 10 years. It's in no way responsible for all our problems, but it's contributing to significant strain on health and education.
