Mats, I am wondering if you can provide some insight into the spur tunnel that shoots off underneath City Hall station, when you are going towards Stampede. I've always been really interested in it for some reason. What is all down there? Is it used for anything at all?

When LRT was first built they just wanted to build it a.s.a.p. When you go through the CP tunnel before coming onto 7th ave you can see it. There is a tunnel that they can use to go under city hall and 8 ave. They just left it that way to use at a different date. They would have to do some major tunneling but I suppose it can still be done. It would make a lot of sense to put at least one of the lines underground.
