I'm not sure if Obama's will be forgotten. His biggest flaw is his inexperience. Clinton will want to exploit that. She will take every opportunity to remind folks over and over again of every gaff Obama makes.
Bush had the same problem to a smaller extent during his first election campaign. He got over it by appearing to surround himself with political veterans like Colin Powell. Having been Governor of a large state and the son of a President didn't hurt either.
Giuliani regardless of what he says is going to have a hard time winning over conservative Christians. His main attraction is the possibility of winning New York. If Giuliani could possibly take that from the Democrats like Reagan took California he would sail easily into the white house. I think his political fortunes will be decided by the rest of the field. If someone with better conservative credentials can convince the base they've got a shot at winning Giuliani will fall back quickly.
