Even more conspiracy lunacy.

Google Trends "Jesse Strang" -> 90 day trend -> Israel

WTF? Jan 3 and Dec 17 in particular

Premeditation or online threat? This makes no sense.

It makes sense if you know Google Trends works. For a topic that gets virtually no search traffic, having it spike from 0 to 100 in one day doesn't mean there are a bunch of searches. It can be a single search. And usually, it's not even a person doing the search, but more likely bot activity. There are spike for Jessica Strang and for John Strang and other similar names in December/January as well. Likely just bots.

Also from the CTV article

“People will know the individual, will know the family or the other people that were killed,” Lewis said, in reference to the small size of the community. “They may well appreciate that there has been problems in that family, maybe threats in the past, and of course, the police will know the individuals involved too, and know what has occurred in the past and what they might be linked to."

Clear major warning signs left unchecked until it was too late and a tragedy has occured. The initial claim by the RCMP that it won't be known the motive is clearly horse#### if stating what the individuals involved might be linked to. Much the same way the Portapique shooting happened, there's almost always some history or signs.
Warning signs can't really be acted on if we want to maintain civil liberties. To me that reads like the person threatened people, but if they didn't actually commit a crime that would normally be prosecuted, what can you really do? Presumably the murderer didn't have legal access to the gun, so then it's up to whomever owns the gun to make sure an unstable person doesn't get their hands on it.
