Minnesota makes the most sense out of the front runners. I don't see Carolina trading for Kadri due to analytics. I don't see LAK paying much, and UTAH is on the outside looking in.

I think the Mammoth are in a very interesting spot for playoff success. WC1 is going into the pacific division. They will get Vegas (unless one of the other teams catch them) and their head-to-head record is pretty good this season (1-1-1).
If they gear up with the mindset of taking out Vegas, adding Kadri and Whitecloud would be pretty epic for adding a couple of cup winning players with high GAF meters. Also, Whitecloud defeating his former team would be delightful to watch.
If they get past Vegas, I think they have a chance to get to the conference finals where they probably get dummied by whichever team comes out of Central.
Of the teams in the list, I think the Mammoth are the only team with the assets to get maximum retention on Kadri, making him a great option for 2/3C. I imagine when Cooley comes back, Kadri would get third line duty and that he will feast on other team's secondary or tertiary defenders.
Kadri (50% retained) + Whitecloud for Desnoyers (and cap/roster dump if needed, but they do not need to dump cap to make it work)
As unlikely as that trade would be, the Mammoth prospect depth is so good that I doubt they would really miss Desnoyers. They can focus on developing Iginla and Beaudoin to play future C roles behind Cooley and those guys are ages 21, 19, 19. Their C depth would be set for a decade.
