My guesses - 2 long-shots that could be interested and have a fit for Kadri, and my personal favourite to land Kadri:

Longshots that make some sense:
Islanders: Rumour had it that they wanted to make a move this year. They could use an upgrade down the middle (Ritchie, Pageau and Cizikas are their lines 2-4 centers). I see a fit there. I am not sure i would qualify them as a contender, however, but they do sit 3rd in the Metro - that's impressive given where they were last season. They also have Makar v.2.0 in Schaefer.

Buffalo: LOL! Wait, I am not joking, actually. Buffalo isn't a contender, but they are holding onto the 1st wildcard spot, and that's after a terrible start to the season. They are a team that seem to be 'righted' now. Close as you can get to Toronto without being in Toronto when it comes to NHL cities. I am sure his list probably had Buffalo on it, but would Kadri block a trade to Buffalo now? I am not so sure. Their 2-4th line centers are Macleod, Ostland and Kozak - so it is likely that Kadri gives them a boost in their 2nd/3rd line (though MacLeod is having a heck of a year, so perhaps 3rd line for Kadri).

My favourite to land Kadri:
Minnesota: They are weak down the middle. Hartman is listed as the 1st line center on DailyFaceoff (FWIW), with Eriksson-Ek as the 2nd line center. I would assume Ek would play with Kaprizov, then Kadri would play on the 2nd line there. They just spent a lot on Hughes, but I don't think they have enough to compete with the heavyweights in the west - Colorado, Vegas and Dallas.

My longshot to land Kadri:
Colorado
: I look at them as a longshot to land Kadri. From a positional standpoint, it makes sense, but they would need retention. Calgary would ask for a 1st for the retention alone (assuming at least getting his salary down to a 5 million cap hit). So a 1st+2nd+Prospect for Kadri? That seems a bit rich. Maybe Colorado includes Ross Colton in the deal (4.0 million cap hit for 2 seasons) in the deal, but probably not - he is a useful player for them, and other players with meaningful salary make even less sense. I see a fit for Kadri in their lineup, but I don't see a trade happening.

Return:
I agree with Bingo's estimation - 2nd + B prospect is what I would expect for Kadri without any retention. Maybe you can get a conditional 1st if Kadri plays for a certain amount of games, plus produces at a certain level, or the Wild get to a certain spot in the playoffs, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Hopefully there is a bidding war, or Conroy pulls something out of a hat, but I would be happy with a 2nd + B prospect, or something like a 2nd + 3rd + 5th type of thing.
