Ya, Kadri at full cap hit likely won't move until the summer.
Kadri with full retention can happen immediately but it will cost a lot more for the acquiring team to get those 4 retention slots and real dollars retained.
I hope it is the full retention path with a massive haul coming back (ideally as 1 asset). I expect it to be in the summer as a lesser trade because of how cheap most of the NHL GMs seem to be getting.
The teams that I hope get itchy to buy and go big this season are
Mammoth
Red Wings
Sabres (No way Kadri goes here, but maybe Whitecloud?)
They have all been out of the playoffs for a long time and are motivated to try to do more than show up in round 1 and get knocked out. Mammoth in particular need a good playoff run to build their Utah fanbase.
