I think the only way that happens in any deal is if there is a stud (and alreay established) center coming back....no way they retain for just draft picks and/or hopeful prospects.
Thats over 10MILLION dollars paid to guy who isnt playing for you.
At least with an existing player you can justify it as part of that guys salary for the 3 years.
