Yes they are discontinued thus cheap but still work just fine and get updates. Make sure you buy the 4k version. Also Gem is a downloadable app for the Chrome cast, so no need to cast it unless you want to.

Bit off topic, but FYI if you intend to use the TSN app on Chromecast 4K. It might not work well on there if Bell hasn't updated the app since August 2025. The audio/video becomes out of sync when you're watching live content. I've recently switch to Google TV Streamer, and the issue isn't present on that.
