I'm assuming they were American citizens though. McKenna being a Canadian there on a visa could be deported and have trouble entering the U.S. if he is convicted. They have to find a way to plead down from the felony charge, which may be possible or even easy, but if it isn't 100% certain by draft day, I think it could affect his draft position. The U.S. isn't messing around these days with non-Americans committing crimes in the U.S. I could see them making an example of him.
