I expect if the Flames were in playoff spot, or McKenna had already been drafted by the Canucks or Blues, he wouldn't have nearly as many defenders here. But 'could wind up a Flame' seems to have led some fans to circle the wagons.

Wonder what happens if Flames get to draft him…and then find out he can’t cross the border. The defenders will look as dumb as the GM. Or is it the other way around?
This might not be settled by draft day…then what?
