Lebrun:

agent has been given permission to talk to teams about extension

Capitals have interest if an extension is in place because they aren't in a playoff spot currently.

Panarin's agent has reached out to all 3 California teams.

Ducks are out right now because extension doesn't make sense for them right now with young guys needing new contracts. Would be more interested if it was just a rental.

Sharks have had a discussion but beyond the conversation LeBrun isn't sure SJ is very serious after acquiring Sherwood.

LA needs a C more than winger with Kopitar retiring. Holland just hanging in there to see where it goes. Sense is Kings aren't pushing that hard.

Hurricanes have talked about it. LeBrun struggles with if Dundon will dole out the money for extension and if Panarin fits with Canes' style of play.

Panthers are probably #1 on Panarin's list but how do they fit him in with their cap situation.
