That's what some of you guys are trying to turn this youngster into. We can't have that.
The best advice so far is to drink Corona -- all the benefits (it's beer, it's cheap, it's easy, it's not what granny drinks at bridge games) but it doesn't make you all bloated like rookie beer drinkers get.
The worst advice is "stay home and save your money". If you want to go out and have fun, do it. You are too young to be worried about your savings account. How much money can you be saving when you are 18 anyway? You can't be making all that much in the first place, and your parents probably pay the real bills.
I blew lots of money on that kind of thing when I was younger and I don't have a single regret. Well, a financial one, anyway.
