I think you’ll find that most players are traded because they’re on expiring contracts teams can’t/wont sign, request trades, or are cap issues and thus receive lesser value. Those who don’t fall under those criteria are either not working out, or are a necessary part of a return the other team covets.

If the bar for “forced” is so low that it’s essentially just having a timely reason to trade the player, every trade is going to look forced.
