March 7, 2025, was a legendary Treliving day. How can you not love this?

Trade 1
- Acquire Laughton, a 30-year-old forward who has 16 points in 68 games since.
- Acquire a 4th + 6th.

- Part with a 1st that will likely be in the 10-15 range of 2027 or unprotected in 2028.
- Part with Nikita Grebenkin, a 21-year-old forward and one of their top-five prospects who since has 10 points in 37 games since.

A gross decrease in draft capital and loss of a mid-high prospect for a slow aging forward. And the prospect has added about as much offensive value anyway.

Trade 2
- Acquire a 5th.

- Part with Connor Dewar, a 25-year-old forward who has 26 points in 68 games since.
- Part with Conor Timmins, a 26-year-old defenceman the Penguins flipped for a 2nd three months later.

Dewar has outperformed the Maple Leafs' big ticket purchase above and they gave him away for nearly nothing. Timmins was flipped for a pick three rounds better than the Maple Leafs got in return for him just months later. Hilarious.

Trade 3
- Acquire Brandon Carlo, a 28-year-old defenceman who the Maple Leafs just a year later are reportedly trying to jettison for a fraction of what they paid for him.

- Part with a 1st round pick that likely ends up in the 6-12 range this year. Also a 4th.
- Part with Fraser Minten, a 20-year-old forward and their second-best prospect who has 27 points in 60 games since.

Minten has outperformed Laughton. Carlo may end up as a cap dump. The pick could be top 10. Complete negligence.
