I bought Mass Effect Legendary Edition a few days ago because of the chatter in this thread, plus another friend recently started replaying it as well. I decided to go for the whole experience and started with the first game, instead of skipping it like so many do, and I'm enjoying it... but wow does the combat feel primitive compared to a modern game. I'll probably skip as many side quests as I can and just rush the end and get to the second game, which hopefully will feel a little more modern.
