I haven't had a Vodka Slime in 10 or 11 years. I'm tempted to go get one just for old times sake.

I've always been a rye and coke kinda guy. Certain brands are smoother than others. I like Crown Royal. Try a crown and coke or a crown and ginger.

I don't like rum, but I do like spiced rum. Same rules apply for spiced rum as rye (except for the brand name... does anybody other than Captain Morgan make spiced rum?).

Long Island Iced Tea is pretty good too. I'll order one whenever I'm at a restaurant and feeling like alcohol. Word of advice for Long Islands though. Don't go hiking on a hot summer day (get dehydrated) and then go to a restaurant upon return of your hike and drink two long islands within 15 minutes. You'll get drunk quickly.
