Wyttenbach is the only freshman anywhere near the top in scoring; the other two are Justin Poirier (5th 2024 Hurricanes, brother Jeremie Poirier) and Porter Martone (6th overall 2024 Philly), both of those guys turned 19 in the fall, Wyttenbach is 19 next month.
Notable players around him in scoring are Michael Hage (24th overall 2024 Monteal) and Will Horcoff (24th overall 2025 Penguins). Both are Sophmore playesr.
Horcoff is the only comparable player but left the USHL early last season to join his College team midway through the season, he turned 19 yesterday. One was a 1st round pick, the other a 5th.
The big difference is Will Horcoff has a lot of offensive support. Hage and he are teammates with Michigan and the second leading scoring the NCAA, TJ Hughes a 24 year old senior, is also on the team. Wyttenbach meanwhile is leading his team in points with a sizable gap of 10.
