I just don't like only sending messages to the young players. Huberdeau continuously plays like absolute trash game after game but never gets benched.
And I do not agree with some people on here that vets should get preferential treatment. Rhett Warrener brought it up a while back, but nothing made him more mad than seeing coaches picking favorites while playing. Every player should be under the same expectations. Why should Kadri and Huberdeau be allowed to float and turn it over, but Gridin gets benched if he doesn't get the puck deep one time?
And I'm sorry, I do not think Huska is the guy to develop young players. Unless you are counting our goalies, who I don't think Huska can get credit for, what players has he successfully developed? Coronato struggled alot this year early on, as did Zary. Zayne lost all his confident under Huska. Kuznetsov has been great, but he was really good since game 1. I am not sure we should credit Huska for that considering he was fine with us putting the same player on waivers a few weeks prior.
