I have generally been much more into mini-series than movies of late, they just do a much better job of digging into themes.

I think the link to a Knights Tale, while tonally very different, it's hard to get past the fact that the title and inciting incident are virtually identical.

That said, I just didn't find the episode that engaging, as I said I will probably give it another chance. But I'll stick with what I said, if asked my log line for EP1 would be; it's like A Knights Tale, but boring.

Although I might not be as invested in Westeros as some, therefore may not have had prior curiosity about the ground level, and don't really have key insight into the politics of the age we find ourselves in. I will admit with historical fiction set around real history, I am often very engaged by their ability or lack there of to sow the real history into the story.
