I more meant consistency of leadership from the coaching staff, it's something you would never do in a different industry. You have a team you know is not good enough, so why are you blaming the coach and firing him, sending the message to the team that if they don't get better you'll just get a new coach. When the message needs to be it's on the young players and only the young players to make this team better over the next 2-5 years, you achieve that by having a coach with the unquestioned mandate to provide difficult feedback.
But you also nailed my point, this team isn't built to win so why blame a coach who really has proven himself for them not winning. Lets take some time and build the team before we look at the coach.
