You push Trump / America they really will invade. There is no winning a war against America. Current course and quiet economic unentanglement while telling Trump whatever he wants to hear is best move. Then just shift your country away as much as as possible diplomatically, economically, etc.

So after hearing Carney's and Trump's speeches at Davos, do you still feal like Canada should be sucking Trump's dick, or should self-determination and the ability to defend Canada's sovereignty more important? I'd respond to Trump's speech with a resounding cancellation of the F35, and signing a deal with Sweden on the Gripen. I would then sign a deal with Germany for a similar deal to buy and build Leopard tanks in Canada to fortify NATO2 as the original dissolves under Trump. I'd also invest heavily into the aerospace and defense industries in developing massive numbers of drones of all types to defend our airspace, or waterways, and project some offensive capabilities. Don't set yourself up to be America's happy meal.
