You are definitely going to want to discuss with Enmax. They will be responsible for bringing the wire to the edge of your property. At that point, there are tons of companies who can offer services of bringing the electrical from property line to your home and upgrade the panel/meter base/conductors, etc...

With overhead wires feeding the home through an alley, this can be a pretty reasonable cost. However, with underground wires you can expect a substantial cost, and in many cases, it's not worth it. Enmax will need to trench wires from the transformer to your home, which can mean tearing up neighbours yards, roads, etc... I've seen quotes for this work from Enmax ranging from $30k to $150k, depending on how far away the transformer is and how hard it is to get that higher service to your property edge. From there you still need to consider the cost of trenching through your own property and the upgrade on your panel (typically around $5k). In some newer communities, Enmax may already have the wire size you'd need running by your property already which would be super helpful in terms of cost.

Depending on what your goal is, a load management device can be a much better option if you're looking to add additional load, and if its simply a breaker space issue adding a subpanel can help without replacing the existing panel.

If you want to discuss in more detail and let me know what you're looking to accomplish, I'd be happy to guide you in the right direction if you send a PM.
