I do place some blame on Conroy as it's his responsibility to maximize the return, but I don't think he deserves a lot of blame. Maloney is the liaise to ownership. Why didn't this guy allow this to be done last year? If ownership is pushing for something that's going to be colossally dumb down the road, it's up to Maloney to pitch and gain concurrence that this team isn't in a good position and they need to go a different route. Conroy also has to voice to Disco Don what his concerns are, but as a rookie GM I understand the tough position he is in. He's doing the best he can with the idiots above.
