I thought she needed to get a prescription for the pill. So it's an over the counter drug? I know it's a dumb question but I dont shop for these things

She does require a prescription. Any walk in clinic doctor will ask a few simple questions about her overall health and write the presciption. If she's over 16 though, I do not believe it requires parental consent. I'm assuming she is since she lives with you. Go with her. Also, there's probably a free health clinic where you and her can also make an appointment and will get at least one free month of birth control and some education on planned parenthood.
