I actually don't have a beef with Macs are Mac users, nor am I trying to imply one is better than the other.
I do find it pretty silly when people think Microsoft actually makes PCs (which Mac's ad campaign is trying to imply time and time again,) or that they're somehow sticking it to Bill Gates when they buy an Apple, though.

Apple has never supplied their own parts. They have always used either Moto or IBM Procs. Apple engineers work with the companies. The term PC means nothing. They use it because people associate the opposite of a PC as Mac. The commercials are not a dig on the hardware but the OS that 90 percent of the world uses.
They are not implying that the hardware is no good. There is no difference. The days of RISC vs CISC are dead. RISC won (save the xbox which is a hell of a PPC platform similar to my iMac g5). I'm fine with that.
