This team is going to finish in the bottom 5 or 6 in the league. Given that reality, better to increase our odds than reduce them.
If you want dopamine and no future, I recommend heroin. It's much stronger than watching a bad team win a random game on a Thursday night.

Best case for Hawks is a pretty competitive season and a top 5 pick, which is pretty uniquely possible in this sort of season. 4 points out of Wildcard, 4 points out of the Number 2 Lotto Spot.

Agreed. As far as the standings, I have no issue with the Blackhawks this season.
I have issues elsewhere as far as NHL level development, but as far as the team feeling like they have something to play for while simultaneously keeping a high draft pick is a perfect storm.

PP very ugly tonight. In general it’s been a rather disappointing display by our team offensively since 98 came back. Where’s the speed and skill? I was expecting better/more dynamic and explosive looking offense, not saying anything special or elite but at least give me SOMETHING. I’ve seen basically nothing. Bedard is in a bad spot right now with Greene and Burakovsky(who has been just downright awful). Moore/Lardis haven’t been noticeable. Just a whole bunch of meh.
