I think Tucker going to the Dodgers is the best option if he didn’t end up with the Blue Jays.

1) To win the World Series, you have to get to the World Series. Having him out of the AL helps that.

2) I think one Goliath team is better than 2-3 super teams. All it takes is one David to take down a team that has a bad stretch. Sometimes sheer talent doesn’t end up winning in baseball. We were going to be underdogs against the Dodgers even if they didn’t have Tucker. If a team manages to upset the Dodgers en route to the World Series, you could see a much more beatable team represent the NL in the World Series.

3) Beating the Dodgers in the World Series would be even sweeter now.
Sure maybe but him going to the Mets wouldn’t have been terrible either because they’d be one of those teams maybe taking in the Dodgers on. Though losing Diaz and Alonso, they may be in tough.

Jays are going to be in tough still IMO to get to the WS even with the upgrades on paper.

The Padres tried to build a team to take on the Dodgers and are dismantling it now. Dodgers didn’t enter the playoffs that hot last year so they aren’t invincible, but they can turn it up come playoffs because that’s all those players really care about.
