Houseboats in Sicamous (which is pretty far from Edmonton) are usually booked as early as a year in advance for the summer months, so it would probably be near impossible to rent one for the end of August. The only way would be if someone cancelled at the last minute but that's probably not likely. The reason I know is because I used to work at the Information Centre there and people would come in asking about houseboats for the weekend and we would try not to laugh at them.
