Planning to be the exception is thinking you're smarter than everyone else and going against probability. Sometimes it works and you look amazing - most the times it doesn't and you don't.
Also, the Flames are sitting 29th overall fielding the team that they have. A Buffalo thing to do would be to fire the coach or GM with this current roster because they are “underperforming”. Moving players like Andersson and Kadri is smart asset management, not tanking.
