A couple female friends of mine from the US actually asked if we could all watch this show together because they heard it was good and don't know a thing about hockey.
I'd say that's a pretty glowing endorsement of this show on the type of impact it is having. I've been providing meta commentary about what feels 'realistic' vs 'not realistic' when it comes to the actual hockey stuff, which they've also been enjoying. Maybe I can convince them to become Flames fans...
