This is a pretty silly statement IMO. You can be 5'10 or shorter and be like Blake Coleman, Brad Marchand, Theo Fleury, Lomberg... and you can be 6'2 or taller and be like Sharangovich, Elias Pedersson, or Dougie Hamilton. Height is not a great indicator of Toughness, Tenacity or being an effective physical hockey player... especially in today's NHL.
There is absolutely no reason why a line of 5'10 hockey players couldn't be an effective NHL line. One of the best flames lines in the last 15 years was Gaudreau (listed 5'9 but probably closer to 5'6), Sean Monahan (6'2 but not physical), and Jiri Hudler (5'10).
