Soooooo one thing I didn't think about when I got my battery replaced by the Apple Store was the element of water resistance being compromised. The phone got bumped and slid into the sink today while the water was running. Normally this wouldn't be a problem whatsoever... well, an hour or so later I noticed I had no cellular service (phone said "No SIM" -- I only use an eSIM) and there was a fogging beneath my front-facing camera. FFFFFFFFFUUUUUU....
So it's shut off and in a Ziploc filled with silicia gel desiccant for the next day or two. Feck, spent the money on the new battery to avoid having to buy a new phone, only to very possibly need a new fecking phone if this doesn't work.
EDIT: Condensation is gone from the front camera, rear camera fogging is reducing considerably, and I can turn the device on and see my cellular service works again, so it seems to have recovered thankfully. It's still living in a bag of silica gel packets a while longer, though.
