I thought it was pretty wonderful and much better than I expected. I hadn’t read the book but based on similar types of books I’ve read I thought the story was surprisingly nice and heartfelt.
Not sure about the quality/research comment. It certainly doesn’t feel anything like something thrown together on a low budget.
