The state propaganda support videos are either recorded prior to these riots / protests or done in very isolated locations considering the sheer extensiveness of the protests.

There's many of those videos flooding on reddit and propagated by posters who are previously suspiciously extremely 'pro-palestine / anti-Israel (to the point of being antisemitic)' to claim that Iranians are for the theocracy and this is western agitation.

With Khamenei having ordered for the deaths of all actively opposing him, this could fast approach Rwanda levels of massacre. One side has all the guns and they are using them, and only one side has access to the internet to propagate a narrative.

And this isn't 40%+ inflation rate

Iran currency used to be 32,000 rials for a dollar in 2015. It is right now around 1.4 million rials for a US dollar.

To put it in perspective, the much talked about Russian ruble decline is 78.75 rubles for a US dollar. Argentina which suffered hyperinflation is at 1450 pesos to the US dollar.

This is a country with literally no water. No currency. Extreme and brutal oppression.

Some want to view this as a 'there are both sides' thing, simply because of personal deep rooted hatred of the US / Israel and not wanting a potentially pro-western ally surface. That is a perverse way of looking at a massacre (especially having observed quite contrasting opinions on Palestine-Israel).

And to claim that this a western media platform thing - they are barely covering this as is and largely using state provided information as it's currently the only available sourcing with only a handful of info trickling outside of it.
