Goes both ways. In the same podcast that Lebrun says the Flames are in danger of being stuck in the middle and need to listen to offers, they also talk about how you can’t just burn it down, how having the right veterans is important to keep around young guys like Parekh, and how Canadian teams more than any other need to stay competitive and take more of a “hybrid rebuild”/retool approach due to market pressures. Citing Washington as an example of a team that was able to reload and become competitive again.
Do we agree with all of that? Not sure.
