Saw an article about Zayne's interview controversy. Not sure if just sensationalized fluff, but if any Flames players or personnel actually have an issue with a pretty harmless comment about the bland, vanilla way in which players are told to handle the media then I don't know what to say.
He's not wrong (about NHLers in general).
I feel like the Flames have a few characters (Andersson, Lomberg, even Cooley) who aren't afraid to show their personality though... so I don't see why that should rock any boats here.
Expecting teenagers to be no nonsense, stone-faced interviews is a silly expectation to begin with.
And any one that gives him grief for it should just take their services elsewhere, because that isn't the kind of culture I want my favorite team to have. This kid should be celebrated, not muzzled.
